Once upon a Christmastime
The angels sang with joy,
To herald the coming
Of a precious Baby Boy.
In the season of warm wishes and greetings, the Modern Early Years Family, Vasundhara celebrated ‘Christmas’ with complete zest and fervour on Monday, 24thDecember 2018. Christmas is celebrated every year on 25th December, as it marks the occasion of the birth of Jesus Christ and fills our hearts with warmth, love, kindness and hope.
The Assembly began with the thought and news of the day by the students, followed by the explanation of each letter of the word ‘CHRISTMAS’;
C – Carry a smile wherever you go.
H – Hold on to your morals.
R – Receive others the way they are.
I – Inspect oneself.
S – Share with those in need.
T – Trust in the Almighty.
M – Make genuine relationships.
A – Add a dash of love in everything you do.
S – Shine as people of God.
The choir presented a hymn ‘Make me a channel of your peace’, under the able guidance of the music teacher Ms.Akshma Gaur. Students enacted the story of the ‘First Christmas’ depicting the birth of Lord Jesus, the savior, aptly supplemented with dances on carols ‘Silent night holy night, Away in a manger, We the three kings, Joy to the world’.. to name a few.
The programme concluded with Santa Claus making his entry with a bag of sweets on the lyrics of ‘Jingle bells and We wish you a merry Christmas’.
The enjoyment continued in the class with the children having a Christmas Party with their peers and respective teachers.
