A special assembly on Eid-UL-Adha was conducted by class P2 on Friday 1st September 2017. The assembly started with the thought and word of the day followed by a melodious and inspiring English song ‘I have a dream, a song to sing, to cope with everything…’ The lyrics of the motivational song encouraged everyone to pursue their dreams even when the going gets tough and to sail bravely through the harsh streams of problems.
The festive touch was given to our special assembly by Naman Mittal as he gave an insight into the celebrations and traditions related to Id.He dramatically narrated the story of Hazrat Ibrahim and emanated the idea of unity and brotherhood.
Next in line was a heart melting skit based on the famous story ‘Eidgah’ by Munshi Premchand that presented the love, care and concern of a little boy towards his grandmother. The dilemma of the poor boy was immaculately portrayed by Morris Gharana. Our veteran actress Viha brought tears into everyone’s eyes when she accepts the exquisite gift, brought by her grandson, and overwhelmingly embraces him. The lovely bond of unmatched love, protection and disquietude shared between grandparents and grandchildren was amusingly presented by our talented performers, thereby spreading the message of love and respect towards our elders.
The loud and cheerful applause from the audience signaled the end of another terrific performance by our multi- talented Modernites. Our Headmistress Mrs. Vinita Roy praised the untiring efforts of the teacher and the class for such ethical performance and wished the audience a very happy and prosperous Id.
