Teachers’ Day Celebration

Teachers’ Day CelebrationSeptember 5th, 2017

“One book, one pen, one child, and one teacher can change the World”.

It is impractical to imagine our lives without teachers. They are the cornerstone of our future.

We can never thank our teachers enough for their immense contribution in our lives. To acknowledge and recognize the role of teachers, The Modern School, Raj Nagar celebrated Teachers’ day on September 5, 2017 with full zeal and exuberance.

The day started with a special assembly conducted by the students of classes S1 and S2. Anushka Das of S1 paid a tribute to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, whose birth anniversary is celebrated as Teachers’ day. Dr. Sarvepalli staunchly believed in education and was a well-known scholar who guided our country on the path of development while serving as the President of India. In her commendable speech, Anushka beautifully quoted the priceless worth of teachers by presenting the following lines: ‘A teacher affects eternity, and can never tell where the influence stops’.

To embellish the incalculable role of a teacher, Chaitanya Mehta of S2 recited the wonderful poem “My Teacher My Friend”.

The veterans of S1 and S2 presented an emotive skit depicting the unrivalled bond of affection between a teacher and a student. The students merrily swayed on the lyrics of the song ‘I love my teacher’ while announcing their affection and gratitude.

Next in line was the most outstanding attraction of the day where the students played the role of their teachers. All in good humor students from P4 to S2 impersonated their beloved mentors, and honored them with flowers and gifts, while presenting their endearing felicitations.

After the mind blowing presentations the teachers along with their loving students posed for some indelible lifelong memories. The affectionate gesture of the students was inordinately acknowledged and admired by our headmistress Mrs. Vinita Roy. Undoubtedly it was a proud day for the teachers to bask in the love and attention received from their adorable students.
