The Modern School, Raj Nagar Extension celebrated November 16, 2019, Children’s Day, which marks the birth anniversary of the first Prime Minister of India – Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru with enthusiasm and zeal, keeping in mind his words, “I may not have time for adults, but I have enough time for children.”
The celebration began with the teachers reciting the school prayer.
The teachers took charge of the assembly to make the day unforgettable for the students. The names are as follows -

The Subject Teachers were called to give some values about their subject and enhance knowledge of the students by briefing about the same.
Ms Ritu Kalia( Music Teacher) emphasized on how basically music affects life. It was an interactive session and Saanvi Tripathi
from P3 said that music makes her happy."
When asked about how pollution effects our health, Arahant
of class S4 answered," It makes the vision blur.Avyaan
from P1 answered," It is because of pollution that the schools were closed.
Ms Goldy (Science Teacher) talked about what basically London Smog is.The discussion came to an end when students were asked ," How will you go green?"There were many answers by the students. Some of them are listed below.Dishika of class P5 said," Recycle Plastic and Paper."Om Sanwal of class S1 said,"Stop Burning Fire Crackers on Diwali."Vedant of class S1 said," Stop using and burning plastic."Jatin of class S1 said,"Stop burning fossil fuels."The school principal Mrs Rachna Agarwal blessed the children on this special day and saluting the spirit of childhood said that we should celebrate the spirit of child within us. She also said that perseverance is important and gave the certificates to the winners of the events such as, Spell-o-bee, Show and Tell, Hindi Hatsya Kavita, English Elocution, Food Fest and Science Exhibition.The highlight of the assembly was Aarush Rawat who has won laurels for the school in the National Shotokan Karato Championship.He has won Bronze Medal under 7 years in the KATA Event and Silver Medal in the Kumite Event.The children were thrilled and excited as they loved painting and stamping a colourful tattoo which was an activity by cutting a potato.A day marking childhood, Children’s Day celebration focused on children and their enjoyment.
