Investiture Ceremony: 2021-2022

The Modern School, Ghaziabad, held the Investiture Ceremony for the session 2021-22 on 3st1 July 2021. This is a solemn occasion wherein all the young students are prepared to don the mantle of leadership and discharge the responsibilities entrusted upon them by the school. Our school acknowledged the budding young leaders ‘first among equals’ and entrusted them with important responsibilities.
The occasion was graced by the benign presence of Ms. Megha Hazuria, a distinguished Clinical psychologist and an alumnus of The Modern School. The ceremony began by the ceremonial lighting of the auspicious lamp by our honorable Principal, Mrs. Manju Mehra, followed by our Head Girl, Michelle Rajput offering a prayer to Lord Ganesha with her astounding performance. The Principal, Mrs. Manju Mehra, welcomed the gathering, introduced the Chief Guest and motivated the students with her words of wisdom, to strive harder for excellence with a unified zeal for the betterment of the institution. She also stressed on setting priorities, aiming high, on teamwork and togetherness. The Chief Guest addressed the council members and stated that “LEADERS ARE NOT BORN, THEY ARE MADE”. She said that the School plays a pivotal role in shaping an individual’s personality. Ms. Megha quoted that “ Each of us has a power of becoming a rainbow in the cloud.” The Chief Guest congratulated the newly elected members and emphasised on the need to be humble while holding responsibilities.
“ Appreciation is the highest form of prayer, for it acknowledges the presence of good wherever you shine the light of your thankful thoughts”. Reiterating this belief, the Office Bearers were nominated, Arahant Vishu Saini ( Class SS1), as the Head Boy, Michelle Rajput ( Class SS1)as the Head Girl.
For ensuring that the school remains a positive and forward-thinking place, House captains of all the four houses were selected.

Atharv Gupta ( Class S4)
The Head Boy and Head Girl repeated the pledge after the Principal. The student council took the pledge to hold the school motto of Loyalty, Truth and Honour in high esteem.
To lift up the spirits of the gathering, an inspiring song close to the heart of all Modernities , was played, followed by the Head Boy and Head Girl’s speech, who shared their valuable thoughts.
Ms. Deepti Shukla, our Program Coordinator, thanked Ms SwatI, Ms Vani & Ms Nidhi for their significant contributions in implementing the brilliantly knit Programme. Most importantly, she thanked Ms. Megha for her words of inspiration and encouragement.
The Principal Mrs. Manju Mehra, also appreciated and congratulated the team of Office Bearers. She advised them to be role models and extend a supporting hand to the student council for the smooth running of the school. The function concluded as is customary, with the National Anthem.
