A day full of colours! A day full of excitement ! A day full of wishes! Yes, it’s Holi! A day to rejoice love!
Holi the festival of colours, is one of the most important festivals of India and is celebrated with great pomp and fervour. The festival marks the end of winter and the abundance of the upcoming spring harvest season. To celebrate this festival, a Special Assembly was conducted by the students, wherein a lively programme was presented deciphering the importance of Holi. Devesh Malhotra of class S4 enlightened everyone by talking about the significance of this festival. Aarohi Aggarwal and Aeleema Mishra explained the importance of Holi. Students of class P1 Ansh Jain and Mishika Jian captivated everyone with their lovely poems. A mesmerising dance performance by the tiny tots of Nursery and KG also enthralled the audience while Hirav Pandey (Class-III), Aryaahi Singh (Class-IV) and Harshit Singh (Class-V) sang mellifluously.
Mrs Manju Mehra , the School Principal , advised all on certain Dos & Dont’s of Holi …Playing with colours made of natural ingredients , ensuring that the skin is moisturised , using a sun screen , using ubtans & natural oils to cleanse & not harsh chemicals & staying hydrated !
Her Holi Message ‘ Have fun & frolic , let go of ill feeling , forget differences , come together , forgive , be joyous & Celebrate Holi with positivity ' !
The Assembly ended on a note of high spirit and energy with a riveting dance performance by Sharanya and Mishka of class P4 and Anshika Jain & Aadrik De of classes P1 and P2 respectively. The ambience added to the festive spirit. It was a joyful celebration of Holi at school.
